Flair is an important quality for any bartender. It will keep your customers interested and entertained. Here are some flaming recipes that can help you develop your flair.
A Bailey’s Comet is made with Bailey’s Irish Cream and Butterscotch Schnapps in equal parts, some Goldschläger, a bit of 151-proof rum, and some cinnamon. First you shake the Bailey’s, Schnapps, and Goldschläger with ice in a cocktail shaker. Then you add a shallow layer of 151-proof rum. Once you light the rum, sprinkle the cinnamon on top and watch it flare up.
Flaming Dr. Pepper
A Flaming Dr. Pepper is made of ¾ shot of amaretto, ¼ shot of 151-proof rum, and a ½ glass of beer. Add the amaretto to a shot glass and top it off with the rum. Then place the shot glass in a pint glass and fill it up with beer up to the top of the shot glass. Light the rum and after it has burned for a few moments, blow out the flame for a delicious drink that tastes just like Dr. Pepper.
Create a shot with 1/3 shot Kahlua on the bottom, 1/3 shot Bailey’s Irish Cream in the middle, and 1/3 shot Tequila on top. Light the tequila and sprinkle cinnamon on the top of the drink. After it has finished burning, the drink will taste just like pumpkin pie.
Pour 1 part Peppermint Schnapps, 1 part Kahlua, and 1 part 151-proof Rum into a shot glass in that order. Light the drink and let it burn for 15 seconds, then extinguish the flame.
